Cookie policy

What this site stores in your browser and how you can control it.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small pieces of information that a website can place in your browser and that may be sent with later requests. Local storage is a separate browser feature that saves information for a particular site without automatically including it in network requests. This policy covers both technologies as used by Boardwalk Scoop, operated by Tidelane Publishing LLC at bddyreelsscoopstrem.lat.

The site uses local storage to remember your privacy selection. It does not use analytics services, tracking pixels, or embedded advertising scripts. Hotel links can lead to websites with different storage practices. Your choice on Boardwalk Scoop applies to this site, not to those separate services.

Storage categories

The table distinguishes essential preference storage from analytics and functional categories. A category description does not mean that a corresponding cookie is placed on your device.

Cookies and browser storage
CategoryUse on this siteDuration and control
EssentialThe localStorage key boardwalk-scoop-consent records accept or reject, the preference version, and the time of your choice. It does not hold your name or email.Remains until replaced or cleared. Both acceptance and rejection save this preference.
AnalyticsBoardwalk Scoop does not set analytics cookies or send browsing events to an analytics provider. Filtering and link navigation work without a measurement service. No analytics storage period applies to browsing this site. A future analytics purpose would require an updated notice and consent where applicable.
FunctionalMenu state, hotel filters, and form validation stay in page memory. They are not saved as functional cookies or retained as browsing preferences. These temporary settings reset when the page reloads. Rejecting optional storage does not disable them.

Using the banner

Accept All records permission for optional storage. Reject Non-Essential records a choice limited to essential purposes. With the site functions described here, both choices save only the essential preference record; acceptance does not itself add tracking tools. Preferences expands an explanation inside the banner before you choose.

Use Cookie settings in any footer to reopen the banner and replace your selection. The preference is browser-specific and device-specific. Choosing rejection after acceptance changes the stored record immediately. If browser settings prevent local storage, the banner can close for the page you are viewing, but it may reappear when you navigate or reload.

Browser opt-out and deletion

You can also block cookies or remove site data in your browser's privacy or security settings. Look for controls labeled Cookies, Site data, Website data, or Storage, select bddyreelsscoopstrem.lat, and clear its stored data. Deleting cookies alone may not remove local storage, so use the broader site-data control when you want to reset the saved choice.

Private browsing sessions generally keep storage separate and may remove it when the session closes. Browser extensions can also restrict storage. Such restrictions may make the banner appear again, but the hotel listings and ordinary links remain available. A preference saved in one browser does not change the settings of another browser or a booking website.

Third-party links and technical records

Hotel booking links open third-party pages. The destination may set its own cookies, recognize referral information, or ask you for a separate consent choice. Review its cookie and privacy notices before making a reservation. Boardwalk Scoop cannot read or delete storage belonging to a different website.

Web hosting may maintain technical request logs for delivery and security. Server logs are different from browser cookies and cannot be removed through a cookie banner. The privacy policy explains the broader handling of technical information and correspondence.

Changes and questions

If storage purposes change, this policy and the consent controls will be updated as appropriate before optional technologies requiring consent are used. A previous selection does not authorize an unrelated new purpose without any notice or consent required by law.
